WARNINGS
- Mounting and wiring this product requires skills and experience. For safety’s sake, leave this work to professionals. If you experience problems during installation, consult your JVC car audio dealer.
- The unit can only be installed in a car with a 12 DC power supply, and negative ground.
- Disconnect the battery’s negative terminal and make all electrical connections before installing the unit.
- Connect speakers with a maximum power of more than 50 W. (impedance of 4 to 8 0). Otherwise, change the <AMP GAIN> setting. (See page 24 of the INSTRUCTIONS.)
- Insulate unconnected wires with vinyl tape or other similar material. To prevent a short circuit, do not remove the caps on the ends of the unconnected wires or the terminals.
- If the fuse blows, first make sure the wires are not touching to cause a short circuit, then replace the old fuse with one that has the same rating.
- Install this unit in the console of your vehicle
- Mount the unit so that the mounting angle is 30° or less.
- Be sure to ground this unit to the car’s chassis again after installation.
- After the unit is installed, check whether the brake lamps, blinkers, wipers, etc. on the car are working properly.
- Do not touch the metal part of this unit during and shortly after the use of the unit. Metal parts such as the heat sink and enclosure become hot.
PRECAUTIONS on power supply and speaker connections
- DO NOT connect the speaker leads of the power cord to the car battery; otherwise, the unit will be seriously damaged.
- BEFORE connecting the speaker leads of the power cord to the speakers, check the speaker wiring in your car.

How do I eject a CD from my JVC radio?
If a CD is inside, the display will alternate between “PLEASE” and “EJECT”. Press the eject (0) button to remove the CD.
How do I reset my JVC radio?
Press and hold the SEL (Select) button and the Standby/On/ATT button together for a few seconds. This will reset the microcomputer, but note that all preset settings (such as sound adjustments and radio stations) will be erased. If a CD is inside, it will eject automatically.
How do I enable AV mode on my JVC radio?
To activate AV mode, select a source from the Home screen. You can navigate by touching, swiping, or flicking to access menus and settings.
How do I play music from a USB on my JVC radio?
Connect your Android device to the USB input terminal using a Micro USB 2.0 cable. The radio will automatically switch to ANDROID source and start playback. Press the volume knob (or use the RM-RK52 remote) to pause or resume.
Does my JVC radio have a fuse?
Yes, there is a 10 AMP fuse located next to the harness connection on the back of the receiver.
