Ninja CFP101 DualBrew Hot & Iced Coffee Maker
IMPORTANT: Ensure you prime your coffee maker before your first brew.
TO PRIME YOUR COFFEE MAKER:
- Plug it into an outlet and turn it on.
- Fill the water reservoir to the FULL line with fresh water and place it on the base.
- Place the empty carafe under the brew basket and run a water-only Full Carafe, Classic brew.
- Once the brew is complete, discard the water; the coffee maker is now primed for use.
NOTE: If using the brewer in a high-altitude area, running a calibration brew is required. Not running a high-altitude calibration brew in a high-altitude area will result in excessive steaming during brewing. Refer to page 4 of the Owner’s Guide for instructions on running a high-altitude calibration brew.

Ninja CFP101 DualBrew Hot & Iced Coffee Maker-FAQs
Why does my Ninja coffee maker beep and stop mid-brew?
This usually indicates a pod jam or sensor issue. Try unplugging the unit and cleaning the brew basket and pod holder. Make sure everything is dry and free from grounds or residue before restarting.
How do I preheat my Ninja coffee maker?
After turning the machine on, allow it to preheat for about 3 minutes before brewing. Once the first brew is done, the machine stays warm, making subsequent cups hotter.
What is the Specialty Brew mode?
Specialty Mode brews a concentrated 4 oz. coffee—perfect for lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos. It’s one of the four brewing options: Classic, Rich, Over Ice, and Specialty.
What brewing temperature does Ninja use?
The Ninja DualBrew heats water to around 200°F for optimal coffee extraction. The Ninja Coffee Bar version typically brews between 184°F and 190°F.
How do I reset my Ninja coffee maker?
To reset, unplug the machine for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in. Set the clock again and proceed to brew.
Why does my Ninja coffee maker keep shutting off?
A common cause is a faulty valve at the base of the water reservoir, which may restrict water flow. If broken, it prevents brewing and can cause the machine to turn off.
Does the Ninja coffee maker shut off automatically?
The machine itself does not fully power off automatically, but the warming plate does shut off after 2 hours (or 4 hours if set). You must manually press the power button to turn off the machine.
Can I brew iced tea with this coffee maker?
Yes, the Ninja DualBrew is designed to brew both hot and iced tea or coffee. Simply fill the carafe with ice and use the Over Ice or Cold Brew setting.
