Riding Safety
- Mini is an entertainment device, not a transportation vehicle. However, once you ride into a public area, your Mini exposes you to the risk of injury as the other transportation device does. You are supposed to protect yourself and others by following this Manual to the max. extent.
- Please understand that you can reduce the risk by following all the instructions and warnings in this Manual, but you cannot eliminate all the risks. Please remember that, whenever you ride the Mini, you risk injury from loss of control, collisions, and falls, when entering public areas like other transportation means even if you fully obey the safe riding instructions. Like all other vehicles, faster speed needs a longer brake stopping distance. Rapid braking on a smooth surface may lead to wheelslip, losing balance or even falling down. You must be very cautious and always keep a reasonable safe distance from other people or transportation tools while riding. Be alert and slow down when entering an unfamiliar area.
- Respect pedestrians by always yielding the right of way. Pass on the left whenever possible. When approaching a pedestrian from the front, stay to the right and slow down. Avoid startling pedestrians. When approaching from behind, announce yourself and slow down to walking speed when passing.
- Please strictly comply with safety requirements for riders of this manual in countries and areas without laws and regulations for self-balancing electric vehicles like China. Ninebot Inc. will not be responsible for any property loss, casualties, accidents, or legal disputes caused by violation of the safety instructions
- Do not allow anyone to ride the Mini on his/her own unless they have carefully read this Manual and passed all the New User Tutorials. Ask your friends to wear protective articles and assist your friends in beginning the first ride.
- Please check if any looseness, damage, tire pressure-lacking, or any abnormal conditions before every ride. If continuous abnormal sounds or alarms of the vehicle occur during riding, please immediately stop riding. Diagnose your Mini withthe Ninebot App and call your reseller for professional instructions or maintenance service.
Lifting and Assistance Mode
If your Mini is powered on and in auto balance mode during carrying, power output will be cut off automatically when tires are hung in the air for your safety; balance mode will be recovered automatically when placing the Mini to the ground. Do not lift the Mini by the fender or the main frame, or your finger may be clipped or damaged in the fender. Please do as shown above.
Pull out the draw-bar to enter into the Assistance Mode (automatically when power-on }, pushing your Mini flatly may help you move easily under Non-riding mode; please lift the Mini when encountering the stairs, do not push it. Please do as shown on above.
Daily Maintenance
Cleaning and Storing Your Mini
You can use a soft cloth (one used for wiping your glasses) dipped with a small amount of water to wipe the mainframe of Ninebot to remove dirt. The dirt that is hard to wipe out on the plastic surface can be scrubbed with a toothbrush after coating it with toothpaste and then cleaned it with a wet cloth. Scratches on plastic parts of the vehicle can be polished by abrasive paper or other abrasive substances.
Hint: Do not wash Ninebot with alcohol, gas, diesel, acetone, or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvent. These substances may damage the appearance and internal structure. Do not wash the Mini with a power washer or high-pressure hose. Make sure that the Mini is powered off, the charging cable is plugged out and the rubber cap on the charging port is tightly sealed, otherwise, you may expose yourself to electric shock or cause the device to fail. Store your Mini in a dry and cool place. Do not store it in an outdoor environment for a long time. Exposure to sunshine or a cold outdoor environment will accelerate the aging of the appearance and the battery life.
Maintenance of Battery Pack
Do not place the battery in a high-temperature or low-temperature environment that is over 50 or below -20. Do not throw the battery pack into the fire. Other items for attention in the maintenance of the battery refer to the nameplate of the battery pack which is below the vehicle. A well-maintained battery pack may be in sound performance even after 20 thousand kilometers of riding. Charge the battery every time you stop riding and avoid exhausting all the power in daily use. In addition, when used at normal temperatures, the battery pack can play high distance mileage and performance; when in an environment below O, the endurance and performance of the battery would decline. Typically, when the temperature is -20, distance mileage maybe half of the normal temperature of 25. Distance mileage of the battery will recover when the temperature rises. You may check the details in the App.
Hint: Typically, the fully charged battery, if mounted on the Ninebot Mini, will be exhausted within 120 to 180 days under the stand-by mode; And a low-power battery, if mounted on the Ninebot Mini, will be exhausted within 30 to 60 days under the stand-by mode. Remember to charge the battery after each ride. Over-draining power may cause unrecoverable damage to the battery. Intelligent chips inside the battery shall record the charge-discharge condition of the battery, damage caused by over-discharge will not be covered under the Limited Warranty. (Non-specialized persons are forbidden to disassemble battery packs!)

Segway Ninebot Minipro N3M320 Balancing Transporter-FAQs
What is the recommended tire pressure for the Ninebot MiniPRO?
The ideal tire pressure is between 35-45 PSI for optimal performance.
How do I inflate the tires on my MiniPRO?
Locate the Fill Valve Stem on the inner side of each wheel. Use the Valve Stem Extension (VSE) for easier access and inflate the tires to 35-45 PSI using a floor pump.
How long does it take to charge the Ninebot?
Charging time varies:
1. ES2: Around 2-3 hours
2. ES4 & Max: Approximately 3-4 hours due to larger battery capacity
Why is my Ninebot beeping?
A new KickScooter must be activated before full functionality. Until then, it will beep occasionally and maintain a low riding speed for safety.
What is the correct tire pressure for a scooter?
Generally, 40-50 PSI is recommended. Adjust based on rider weight:
1. Below 70 kg: Reduce by 3-5 PSI
2. Above 90 kg: Increase by 3-5 PSI
Can I use my Ninebot without the app?
Yes, but you’ll need the app for initial setup, firmware updates, and additional features.
How do I know when my Ninebot is fully charged?
The charging indicator light is red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
Can I leave my Ninebot charging overnight?
No, it’s not recommended to leave it charging unattended for safety reasons.
Can I track my Ninebot if it gets stolen?
If the scooter has battery power, you can track it using the Ninebot-Segway App. However, a U-Lock or other physical lock is strongly recommended for theft prevention.
Why does my Ninebot scooter keep turning off?
Frequent shutdowns may be due to a tripped circuit breaker caused by:
1. Loose or overheated wires
2. Overloading or steep inclines
Check and secure the wires properly before use.
What is the recommended PSI for Ninebot G30 Max?
Maintain a minimum of 3.5 bars (50 PSI) and a maximum of 3.8 bars (55 PSI) for both front and rear tires.
