Ultrean UL-KS01 Digital Kitchen Food Scale-FAQs
Why isn’t my digital kitchen scale turning on or showing correct readings?
Check the batteries first—make sure they’re properly installed and have enough power. Also, clean the scale’s weighing platform and sensors, as dust or debris can interfere with accuracy.
How can I test if my digital scale is accurate?
Use nickels—each one weighs about 5 grams. Place one nickel on the scale and check the reading. Then add more one by one. If the weight increases by 5 grams each time, your scale is likely accurate.
What’s the best way to verify the accuracy of a food scale?
Use calibration weights or coins with known weight. Weigh the same item multiple times—consistent readings mean your scale is accurate.
What does “PCS” mean on my scale?
“PCS” stands for Piece Counting Mode. It allows the scale to count items based on the weight of a single piece.
What is the tare function used for?
The tare function subtracts the weight of a container. Just place the empty container on the scale, press the TARE button, and it will reset the display to zero so you can measure only the contents.
Why is my scale giving inconsistent readings?
This often happens when the scale is placed on an uneven or unstable surface. Always use the scale on a flat and solid surface for accurate results.
How do I turn off the Ultrean digital scale?
To manually turn it off, press and hold the OFF/TARE button until the display turns off. Wait a couple of seconds before turning it back on.
What does “gn” mean on the scale?
“GN” stands for Grains, a unit commonly used in measuring gunpowder or small quantities of material. One grain equals 0.0648 grams.
What does “ct” stand for on the scale?
“CT” means Carats, a unit used to measure gemstones and pearls. One carat equals 200 milligrams.
