CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
For best results, your panini grill must be cleaned thoroughly after each use. The daily buildup of sediment left over from cooking can affect the performance of the grill plates.
The Waring Commercial Panini Grills come with a cleaning brush (CAC105). The cleaning brush features heavy-duty bristles for initial removal of sediment from the cast iron plates. The brush also features a scraper custom-designed to clean in between the
ribs as well as the flat surfaces. The Waring® Commercial Panini/Toasting Grill should be cleaned after each use with warm, soapy water. The exterior of the unit may be cleaned by carefully wiping with a damp cloth. Clean plates while the unit is warm, using warm, soapy water and the cleaning tool provided. DO NOT USE COLD WATER ON
WARM PLATE.
To clean the drip tray, carefully remove the tray, wash with warm soapy water, and dry. The tray must be completely dry before putting it back into the unit.

Waring Commercial WPG250 Large Panini Grill-FAQs
How do I season the Waring panini grill before first use?
Clean and dry the cast-iron plates thoroughly. Lightly coat them with cooking oil, heat the grill to the highest setting for 10 minutes, then let it cool. Repeat once for best results.
What is the purpose of a panini grill?
A panini grill is designed to press and toast sandwiches, but it’s also great for grilling meat, vegetables, quesadillas, and more.
How do I deep clean the Waring panini grill?
Allow the unit to cool, then apply a baking soda and water paste to the plates. Let it harden, then scrub gently with a microfiber cloth to remove buildup.
How should I clean the WPG250 after regular use?
Unplug the unit and let it cool slightly. Use warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth or the included cleaning tool to wipe down the plates and exterior. Never pour cold water on warm plates.
What is the best temperature for cooking on a panini grill?
For optimal results, set the temperature between 325°F and 375°F depending on your ingredients.
How long should I heat a panini?
Most paninis take about 3–5 minutes to cook. Reheating in a toaster oven takes 8–10 minutes at 275°F. Avoid microwaving to prevent soggy bread.
Why does my panini press produce smoke?
Smoke usually results from leftover grease or crumbs on the grill plates. Clean the plates thoroughly after each use to prevent smoking.
Does the Waring panini grill require ventilation?
Some municipalities may require a vent hood for commercial panini grills. Check your local codes before installation.
How can I use the grill safely?
Never leave it unattended while on. Keep it on a heat-safe surface away from walls and combustible materials. Turn it off immediately if you detect a burning smell or odd noises.
How do I make my paninis crispy?
Brush the outer sides of your bread with butter or olive oil before pressing. This ensures a golden, crunchy crust.
