SETUP
- Download the Wyze app and create an account
- Connect the camera to a power outlet and wait for 15 seconds until the yellow status light flashes
- Press the SETUP button for 3 seconds until you hear acvoice prompt
- Follow the Wyze app to finish setup

How do I set up my Wyze Cam Pan V1?
Download the Wyze app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Plug the camera into a power outlet and wait for the yellow light to flash. Press and hold the SETUP button until you hear a voice prompt, then follow the app instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
Can I use the Wyze Cam without a subscription?
Yes, you can use the Wyze Cam Pan V1 without any paid plan. You’ll still get live streaming, motion alerts, and local video recording with a microSD card. Subscriptions only add cloud storage and AI-powered features.
Does the Wyze Cam Pan V1 work without Wi-Fi?
No, Wi-Fi is required for setup and live streaming. However, once it’s configured, the camera can continue recording locally to a microSD card even if your internet connection drops.
What type of Wi-Fi does the Wyze Cam Pan V1 use?
The camera works only with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks using WPA or WPA2 security. It does not support 5 GHz networks.
Can Wyze cameras be viewed on a TV?
You can’t directly connect your Wyze Cam to a TV, but you can view the live feed using Amazon Fire TV or Google Chromecast by linking your Wyze account to those services.
Is the Wyze Cam Pan V1 always recording?
By default, the camera records when motion or sound is detected. With a microSD card installed, you can enable continuous 24/7 recording or choose “Events Only” mode to save storage.
Does the Wyze Cam Pan V1 have night vision?
Yes. It features infrared night vision that automatically activates in low light, allowing you to see clear video even in the dark.
How do I reset the Wyze Cam Pan V1?
To reset, press and hold the SETUP button on the bottom of the camera for about 10 seconds until you hear “Ready to connect.” Then set it up again through the Wyze app.
Can someone access my Wyze camera without permission?
Wyze cameras are encrypted and require account login for access. To stay secure, use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in your Wyze account settings.
How do I download recorded videos to my phone?
While viewing playback in the Wyze app, tap the Record button to save a clip to your phone. Tap Stop when done—the video will be stored in your device’s gallery.
