Wyze Smart Scale Ultra- FAQs

Is the Wyze Smart Scale Ultra worth it?

Yes. The Wyze Smart Scale Ultra offers accurate and consistent readings to help you track changes in body composition over time. While not a medical-grade device, it’s highly reliable for home fitness monitoring.

How does the Wyze Scale measure body fat?

It uses Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), which sends a safe, low-level electrical current through your body. Since fat and muscle conduct electricity differently, the scale estimates your body fat percentage based on resistance levels.

How do I set up and use the Wyze Smart Scale Ultra?

Place the scale on a flat, hard surface. In the Wyze app, tap Home → + → Device → Lifestyle → Wyze Scale, then enter your personal details. Step barefoot onto the scale to begin your first measurement.

Does the Wyze Smart Scale Ultra use Wi-Fi?

Yes. Unlike earlier Wyze models, the Ultra connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing you to sync and view your data anytime from the Wyze app without needing to reconnect manually.

Does the Wyze Scale connect to a phone?

Yes. The scale stores your measurements even if your phone isn’t nearby, then syncs automatically once connected to the Wyze app via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

How long does the Wyze Smart Scale battery last?

The scale uses four AAA batteries that typically last for 6 months or more, depending on usage. Replace them when you notice inconsistent readings or if the display dims.

Does the Wyze Smart Scale require a subscription?

No. All core features work without any paid plan. Creating a free Wyze app account is all you need to access and store your measurement data.

How accurate is the Wyze Smart Scale Ultra?

It’s one of the most precise consumer-grade smart scales available, capable of measuring up to 400 lbs (181 kg) with high consistency. However, environmental conditions and hydration can slightly affect readings.

Can multiple users share the same Wyze Scale?

Yes. The scale supports up to 8 unique user profiles and can recognize each person automatically. It can also record guest measurements without saving them to the app.
