- Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster, as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
- A fire may occur if the toaster is covered or touches flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged in.
- Use caution during operation as the top surface gets hot. An extra lift function is provided to help remove toasted items.
- Some food items, such as pastries, strudels, and items with high sugar content, are prone to burning. To prevent the possibility of smoking and fire, always use caution when toasting such items.
- Warning: To prevent electrical shock, unplug before cleaning.
- Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, operate with the crumb tray closed.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, mental, or sensory abilities, and a lack of experience and knowledge prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction.
- You must ensure supervision of children to avoid using the device as a toy.

HOW TO USE
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
- Place the toaster on a flat, level surface where the top of the unit has enough space for the heat to flow without damaging the cabinets or walls.
- Remove the tie from the cord and unwind.
- Plug the unit into the electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TOASTER
- For first-time use, select setting 4. Re-adjust the setting to suit your personal preference on successive toasting operations.
- If the wrong button is selected, press the CANCEL button, press the lever down, and re-select the desired setting.
- This toaster was engineered to toast faster, which may cause some surfaces to be hotter than others. Use caution when removing toasted items.
TOAST FUNCTION
- Insert slices of bread or other foods to be toasted in the appropriate slot and press the toast lever until it locks into the down position. The self-adjusting guides automatically center food being toasted.
- Adjust the toast shade selector to the desired setting (1 through 7).
- When toasting is complete, the toast control lever releases and the unit shuts off.
- The toaster has a lift mechanism that makes removing toast easier. Lift the toast lever to raise the food above the toast slot.
- Unplug the toaster when not in use.
BAGEL FUNCTION
- Insert the bagel or English muffin into the slot with the cut side toward the inside of the toaster.
- Press the toast lever until it locks into the down position. The self-adjusting guides automatically center the bagel halves in place. Press the BAGEL button.
- Adjust the toast shade selector to the desired setting (1 through 7).
- When toasting is complete, the toast control lever releases and the unit shuts off.
- Unplug the toaster when not in use.
FROZEN FUNCTION
Use to thaw and then toast frozen bread, bagels, waffles, and toaster pastries. For frozen waffles and pastries, follow the manufacturer’s package directions.
- Insert food to be toasted into slots.
- Press the toast control lever until it locks into the down position.
- Press the FROZEN button. Note: You cannot press both the Bagel and Frozen buttons at the same time.
- Adjust the toast shade selector to the desired setting (1 through 7). When toasting is complete, the toast control lever releases and the unit shuts off.
- Unplug the toaster when not in use.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer the service to qualified service personnel. Always unplug the cord from the electrical outlet and allow the toaster to cool before cleaning. Do not
Immerse the toaster in water.
Crumb Tray
- To open, pull the tray forward using the slots on the tray and then pull down.
- Dispose of the crumbs and wash the crumb tray with a gentle detergent and a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
- To put the tray back into place, lightly pull the tray forward using the slots on the tray and push it back in.
Cleaning Outside Surfaces
Important: The unit gets hot. Allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or sponge and dry with a paper towel.
- Do not use strong cleaners or abrasives that may scratch surfaces, and never spray cleaners directly onto the toast.r
