FEATURES

1. Preset quantity dispensing
   You can dispense the preset amount as you want to use. With this function, you can save time waiting for dispensing.
2. Hot water lock function (Child safe mode)
   Deactivate hot water dispensing to protect users (especially children and seniors) from scalding.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Danger: If not observed, serious injury or even death may occur as a result.

• Do not use a damaged power plug or a loose electric outlet. Electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Do not pull the power cord or touch the power plug with a wet hand. Electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Do not forcefully bend the power cord or put it under a heavy object to prevent it from being damaged or deformed. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• If the power cord is wet, unplug the unit and let it completely dry before subsequent use. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Unplug the product before repair, inspection, or parts replacement. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur as a result.
• Do not plug into an outlet that is being used by several other appliances. Use an electrical outlet dedicated. Otherwise, fire may occur as a result.
• Close the tap water supply valve, empty the water tanks, and unplug the power cord when the product is not used for prolonged periods.
• Do not attempt to repair the power cord.
• Do not connect and pull out the power plug repeatedly. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Remove any dust or water from the pin and contacts of the power plug. An electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• In the case that the power cord is damaged, do not replace the cord yourself. Call the service center to have it replaced. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Do not install the product near a heating device. Otherwise, fire may occur as a result.
• When the water leakage occurs from the product, close the feed water valve and unplug the product. Then, call the service center. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur as a result.
• Do not put the candle, a light for a cigarette, on the products. Otherwise, fire may occur as a result.
• If the product produces a strange noise or odd smell, immediately unplug it from the electrical outlet and call our service center. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur as a result.
• Do not place any containers with water, medicine, food, small metallic objects, or any flammable material on top of the product. If foreign material gets inside the product, electric shock, fire, or product damage may occur as a result.
• Unplug the product before cleaning. Do not spray water or wipe the product with benzene or thinner when cleaning. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Do not move the product by pulling the power cord. Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
• Do not open, repair, or modify the product by yourself. Otherwise, electric shock or product damage may occur as a result.
• Connect only to a circuit that is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter(GFCI).

PRODUCT COMPONENTS

Operation / Indication part

1. Hot water temperature indicator
   The LED turns on when the hot water mode is on. The LED goes up when the water is heating. The LED is fully illuminated when the water heating is finished.
2. Cold water temperature indicator
   The LED turns on when the cold water mode is on. The LED goes up when the water is cooling. The LED is fully illuminated when the water cooling is finished.
3. Hot water mode indicator
   The indicator lights up when the hot water mode is selected.
4. Ambient water mode indicator
   The indicator lights up when the ambient water mode is selected.
5. Cold water mode indicator
   The indicator lights up when the cold water mode is selected.
6. Hot water lock indicator
   The indicator lights up when the hot water lock mode is activated.
7. Power save mode indicator
   This indicator lights up when powersave mode is on.

1. Hot water lock button
   Use this button to lock/unlock hot water dispensing.
2. Hot water mode button
   Use this button to select hot water mode.
3. Ambient water mode button
   Use this button to select ambient water mode.
4. Cold water mode button
   Use this button to select cold water mode.
5. Light sensor
   This indicator detects the light around the product.

WATER FILTRATION PROCESS

The 5-step (or 4-step) water filtering system(CHP-250L)

• Step 1, 2: NEO-SENSE FILTER
• Step 3: RO MEMBRANE FILTER
• Step 4: PLUS INNO-SENSE FILTER
• Step 5: ANTIBACTERIAL FILTER*

The CHP-250L conforms to NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 58 for the reduction of Aesthetic Chlorine, Taste and Odor, VOCs, Pentavalent Arsenic, Barium, Radium 226/228, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Trivalent Chromium, Lead, Copper, Selenium, and TDS as verified and substantiated by test data. The CHP-250L conforms to NSF/ANSI 372 for low lead compliance. The CHP-250Lis is registered in California.

INSTALLATION

1. Drilling a tubing hole

   • Place some masking tape over the area to be drilled to prevent scratches if the drill bit slips.
   • Mark a hole with a center punch. Use a small drill bit for the first hole, then use a suitable drill bit (Drill a Diameter of about 1/2˝ (12.5 mm)).

2. Installing the water supply fitting and drain clamp

   • First, turn off the cold water supply line. Then, open the faucets to drain water from the cold water pipe. Detach the water supply fitting from the water pipe.
   • Tape the water supply fitting with the Teflon tape and connect to the cold water pipe.
   • Wrench the cold water pipe fitting, then connect the 1/4˝ tubing (orange) to the water supply fitting.
   • Make a hole in the drain pipe and install the drain clamp on the hole. Connect the blue tube from the water outlet of the product to the drain clamp.

3. Make a hole on the drain pipe and install the drain clamp in the hole.

INSTALLATION TIPS

• Open the feed water supply valve.
  The feed water must be supplied to operate the water filtration device normally.
• After installing the product
  Get rid of the saved water above the full water in the inner water tank 2 times or more to use.
• When the indicator in the indication part is turned off
  When the indicator in the indication part is turned off, check if the power supply was stopped due to a power failure or another cause.
• Regular filter replacement
  If the filter is not regularly replaced, it may degrade the water quality of the product. The filter replacement cycle, depending on the feed water quality, can be shortened rather than the expected replacement cycle.
• When you did not use the product for a long time
  If the water has been stored inside the water tank for a long time, drain the water inside. Flush newly purified water before use.
• Check up on the product for a long time
  Close the feed water valve and unplug the power cord.

HOW TO USE

To drink cold water

Check the cold water mode indicator. Press the cold water mode button, then press the dispense button. A cup of cold water will be dispensed. Press the dispense button to stop dispensing.

• * The cold water temperature indicator is on as the cold water mode is on.
• *If you are using the product for the first time or have not used cold water dispensing for a while, it takes about 1 hour to dispense an adequate temperature of cold water.

To drink hot water

Check the hot water mode indicator. Press the hot water mode button, then press the dispense button. A cup of hot water will be dispensed. Press the dispense button to stop dispensing.

• *The hot water temperature indicator is on as the hot water mode is on.
• *If you are using the product for the first time or have not used hot water dispensing for a while, it takes about 30 minutes to dispense adequate temperature of hot water.

To drink ambient water

Press the ambient water mode button, then press the dispense button. A cup of ambient water will be dispensed. Press the dispense button to stop dispensing.

Hot water lock mode

Press the hot water lock button for 1 second. Hot water lock indicator will be on. In hot water lock mode, hot water will not be dispensed. However, if you press the dispense button, cold or ambient water will be dispensed which you chose to set before hot water lock mode.

Power-save mode

Press the cold water mode button and the hot water lock button together for 1 second to set power-save mode. Both the cold water temperature indicator and the cold water mode indicator will blink. Then press the cold water mode button to activate/deactivate the power-save mode. The power-save mode will be on or off when you press the cold water mode button. Power-save mode indicator will be on/off due to the setting. Power-save indicator will be on at first use, as power-save mode is on as the default setting.

Preset quantity dispensing

Press the hot water lock button and ambient water mode button together for 3 seconds, then the cold water temperature indicator blinks with a ‘ding’ sound. Press the ambient water mode button to set preset quantity (about 120 ml → about 200 ml → about 300 ml → about 120 ml). After preset quantity setting, press the ambient water mode button and hot water lock button for 3 seconds to save the setting(if no other button is pressed over 10 seconds, the setting will be saved as well). The hot and cold water temperature indicator lights on as per the chosen preset quantity. Press the dispense button to dispense hot/cold/ambient water (refer to p.11).

Continuous dispensing

Set the desired water mode. Press the dispense button for 2 seconds. The water will be dispensed continuously. Press the dispense button to stop continuous dispensing.

Press and Hold dispensing

Press the ambient water mode button for 7 seconds to activate/deactivate press-and-hold dispensing. With the ‘Ding~’ sound, the mode is activated/deactivated. In this mode, hot/cold/ambient water will
be dispensed regardless of the amount as long as you press the dispense button. If you stop pressing the dispense button, water dispensing stops.

To activate silent mode

Press the hot water lock button for 5 seconds. Then the silent mode is activated with beep sound. Press the hot water button for 5 seconds again to deactivate it.

• Hot water lock mode is activated when you press the hot water lock button for 1 second. Continue pressing the button for 5 seconds to activate silent mode.

CLEANING METHOD

1. Unplug the power cord and close the feed water valve.
2. Open the drain port cover and the red drain port cover.
3. Drain all the water inside the inner water tank by continuous dispensing. Store the water in a bucket or bowl.
4. Grab and slide the top cover to open. Unhook the 6 clamps and the overheating hose. Then, detach the water tank lid.
5. Remove the antibacterial filter* from the back of the lid. Clean the antibacterial filter* with filtered water. Then reinstall the antibacterial filter in place.
6. Wipe the inside of water tank with a clean soft cloth.
7. Pour stored water into the water tank. Plug in the power cord. Then drain all the water by continuous dispensing.
8. Close the lid of inner water tank. Hook the 6 clamps of the lid and place the overheating hose in place.
9. Close the top cover. Open the feed water supply valve.

CLEANING METHOD

Clean the main body (every 2 ~ 4 weeks)

Wipe the main body with a dry and soft cloth.

• If the grime is stubborn, wipe it away with a wet cloth.

Clean the drip tray

1. Detach the drip tray and grill
   Pull out the drip tray to detach and lift up the drip tray grill. Then clean the drip tray and grill under running water with a soft cloth or brush. Dry them in the shade.
2. Attach the drip tray and grill
   Place the drip tray in place. Then, place the drip tray grill on top of the drip tray.

FILTER REPLACEMENT

Filter replacement cycle

Filters are crucial to the water filtration system. Replace the filters regularly with authorized filters in accordance with the volume of water dispensed. Be sure to replace the filters at specified times.

Users might improperly operate the product due to their unfamiliarity with how to use the product. Check the following items to resolve such issues. If issues cannot be resolved using these procedures, please contact a service center.
