INSTALLATION

Installing the transmitter

Location

The thermostat can be wall-mounted in a room where the temperature is to be regulated, at a recommended height of 1.5m and away from any heat sources (fireplace, direct sunlight, etc.) or draughts (window, door, etc.). To avoid unwanted air movements that would distort the sensor measurement, the wire entry into the flush-mounted box must be plugged (mastic, glass wool, etc.).

IMPORTANT: Do not install the thermostat on a wall in contact with the outside or with an unheated room (e.g. garage, etc.).

  • The thermostat is on despite the programme not calling for it.
You must have turned on the pre-heat function. If so, then it is normal for your thermostat to anticipate the temperature rise and it has started pre-heating to get to the Comfort temperature at the desired time (see § Pre-heat function).
  • The thermostat turns off, though the requested temperature has not yet been reached.
Your thermostat uses a kind of control that anticipates the inertia in temperature variations in order to calculate energy needs as accurately as possible and provide maximum comfort. On the other hand, anticipating a drop in temperature, the heating may turn on once the desired temperature has been reached.

Delta Dore Tybox 117+ Wireless Programmable Thermostat-FAQs
What are the main benefits of the Tybox 117+ thermostat?

The Tybox 117+ helps maintain a stable indoor temperature while reducing energy consumption. It allows programmable schedules, so heating runs only when needed. Features like automatic adjustment and smart control improve comfort and efficiency. Its wireless design also makes installation flexible without complex wiring.

How do you set up the Tybox 117+ thermostat?

Setting up the Tybox 117+ involves installing the receiver, inserting batteries into the thermostat, and pairing both devices. Once connected, you can configure temperature schedules and modes using the interface. The process is straightforward and usually guided by on-screen instructions for quick installation.

Does the Tybox 117+ require batteries?

Yes, the Tybox 117+ thermostat typically runs on batteries to power its wireless controls and display. Using good-quality batteries ensures stable performance. It’s important to replace them periodically to avoid interruptions, as low battery levels may affect temperature control and system responsiveness.

What is the main purpose of a programmable thermostat?

A programmable thermostat like the Tybox 117+ is designed to automatically regulate indoor temperature. It turns heating on or off based on preset schedules, helping maintain comfort while saving energy. This reduces manual adjustments and ensures efficient heating throughout the day.

What temperature should you set for efficient heating?

For most homes, a comfortable heating setting is around 18–21°C while you are active. Lowering the temperature slightly when sleeping or away can reduce energy usage. The Tybox 117+ allows you to schedule these changes automatically for better efficiency and comfort.

What are common problems with thermostats?

Common thermostat issues include inaccurate temperature readings, unresponsive controls, or heating not turning on or off properly. These problems can result from low batteries, incorrect settings, or connection issues. Regular maintenance and correct setup help prevent most of these problems.

Can the Tybox 117+ work without batteries?

No, the Tybox 117+ relies on batteries for its wireless operation and display functions. Without power, it cannot send signals to the heating system. Always ensure the batteries are functional to maintain consistent temperature control and avoid system interruptions.

What happens if the thermostat battery is not replaced?

If the batteries are not replaced, the thermostat may stop functioning or fail to communicate with the heating system. This can lead to heating not turning on or maintaining the correct temperature. Replacing batteries on time ensures smooth and uninterrupted operation.

How can you save energy using the Tybox 117+?

You can save energy by setting heating schedules based on your daily routine. Lower temperatures when you are asleep or away help reduce unnecessary usage. The Tybox 117+ makes this easy with programmable settings, ensuring efficient heating without sacrificing comfort.

Where should a thermostat be placed for best performance?

A thermostat should be installed in a central location, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources. This ensures accurate temperature readings. Proper placement helps the Tybox 117+ maintain consistent indoor comfort and prevents incorrect heating adjustments.
