Precautions
- The garden top will get warm. Do not place items that generate heat (appliances, candles, etc.), items that are sensitive to heat, or insulating material on top of the garden.
- Only place the power supplies where indicated in this manual.
- If an electronic part gets wet, immediately unplug the garden and ensure the part is thoroughly dry before continuing use. If water damage is significant, please discontinue use and reach out to Rise Gardens Support at [email protected] to report the incident.
- Unplug from power before cleaning, maintenance, assembly, or disassembly.
- Unplug from power before connecting or disconnecting cables and electronic components.
- Do not touch any of the electronics with wet hands.
- Cap all exposed electronic connectors when not in use.
- Supervise children around the garden.
- All electrical connectors must be fully connected before the garden is plugged into power.
- For indoor use only.
- Use only with Rise accessories and replacement components.
- If electronics are damaged, unplug and do not use them. Reach out to Rise Gardens Support at [email protected] to report the incident.
- Keep the power cord away from other sources of heat. Keep the power cord away from walkways where it might become a trip hazard.
- Do not use a garden around aerosol sprays or concentrated oxygen.
- Light modules and power supplies may be detached for replacement.
- To avoid damaging electrical cords, do not pinch or bend them sharply.
Start Assembly
1. Unpack the Base and Top Shelf
2. Unpack Hardware Bag
3. Unpack the Cabinet
- Set the cabinet on its back.
- Screw 4x feet into the bottom of cabinet legs. Later, adjust to ensure your garden is level and stable.
4. Unpack the Tray
5. Install Uprights
- Set the cabinet on its feet.
- Insert 4x uprights into each corner of he cabinet.
- Secure with each upright with 2x screw.
6. Assemble the Pump
- Unbox the pump and mounting brackets.
- Attach the pump tube and mounting brackets, and attach the pump filter.
- Rinse the assembly before use.
7. Install Pump
- Install the pump assembly in the water tank.
- Place the water tank back into the cabinet.
- Route the pump cable through the water tank opening and out the bottom of the cabinet.
8. Install Outer Tray
- Lower the outer tray onto the cabinet. Circular plumbing holes of the outer tray are on the left side.
- Secure with 4x screws.
9. Retrieve Plumbing
10. Install Plumbing
- Place the water conduit into the two circular holes on the left side of the outer tray.
Verify that the water conduit is positioned above the holes in the water tank. The flexible tip is on the front side of the garden. - Return the water tray to the outer tray. Ensure it is fully seated.
Note that the water tray tubes slot into the water conduit.
Steps 11-16 only apply to double- and triple-level gardens.
If building a single-level garden, skip to step 17.
11. Unpack Extension Box
12. Install Upright Extensions
- Attach 2x upright extensions to the uprights.
- Secure with 4x screws.
13. Install Outer Tray
- Lower the outer tray onto the upright extensions. Circular plumbing holes of the outer tray are on the left side.
- Secure with 4x screws.
14. Install Extension Plumbing
- Place the plumbing adapter into the lowest-level water tray.
- Insert 2x extension pipes through the circular holes in the outer tray above and into the plumbing adapter.
Use long pipes first. - Return the water tray to the outer tray. Ensure it is fully seated.
15. Mount Power Supply
- Place power supply on mounting screws on right wall of cabinet.
“Output” faces up. “Input” faces down. - Rotate paddles to secure.
- Feed the output cable (cylindrical connector) out hole in the back of the cabinet.
- Feed the input cable (three-prong) into the outlet hole in the bottom of the cabinet.
16. Add Second Extension to a Triple-Level Garden
- If building a triple-level garden, repeat steps 11-15 with the third level.
- If building a double-level garden, move on to step 17.
- For the second extension, use the small extension pipes.
17. Install Top Shelf
- Align the top shelf and lower onto the uprights. Ensure that the cable is on the right-hand side.
- Secure with 4x screws.
18. Connect Tubing to Pump
- Uncoil the tubing and feed it into the raised hole on the top water tray until the short segment rests in the groove.
- The end of the tubing should now be in the water tank. Connect the tubing to the pump coupler.
Push firmly.
19. Cover Water Tray(s)
- Place tray lids on top of water tray(s).
- Place service door(s) on the left side.
20. Unpack the Smart Strip and the Nursery

- Plug the cable from power supply into top shelf and screw in to secure.
Note that light connectors are keyed. If the plug does not fit initially, gently rotate the plug until the keys line up and the plug is able to be inserted into the socket. Do not force the plug as this may break or bend the connector.
- If building a double- or triple-level, connect additional light cable(s) from outer trays.
22. Manage Cables and Connect the Pump
- Use included hook-and-loop ties to secure and bundle excess cable.
- Plug the cable from the pump into the pump power supply.
23. Tip Prevention
- A kit with two straps is provided to secure the garden to residential wall studs.
- To use the kits, loop the metal cable around each rear upright, just under the top shelf.
- Position the garden such that the cable is not loose.
- If a stud is not accessible, use an anchor appropriate to your wall material and rated for at least 25 lbs.
24. Water Dampeners
- A foam water dampener is provided with each extension hardware kit in order to reduce splashing.
- Single-level gardens do not require a water dampener. Double-level gardens use one dampener, and triple-level gardens use two.
- Each water dampener inserts into the gap between the plumbing adapter and the extension pipe. The wall of extension pipe rests within the slit on water dampener.
- Each water dampener is intended to fall out in the event of a clog. If it is falling out prematurely, try pushing the water dampener slightly further in.
25. Plug Electronics into Smart Strip
- Plug power supply(s) into the smart strip. Remove socket covers, as needed.
- Plug the pump power supply into the smart strip.
IMPORTANT: Place the smart strip behind or to the right of the garden. Do not place a smart strip underneath or inside the garden. Do not place the smart strip immediately to the left of the garden, which is where water is added.
26. Powering On
- Fill the water tank about halfway.
- Plug the smart strip into the wall. Press the button on the smart strip to turn it on. The lights should turn on, and the pump should start running.
IMPORTANT: To enable the automatic timer, connect he smart strip with the Rise Gardens app.
IMPORTANT: Monitor the garden for a few minutes to ensure there are no leaks.

Limited Warranty Policy – Indoor Gardens
All our Indoor Gardens come with a 3-year warranty for hardware components and a 3-year warranty on electronic components against defects in workmanship and materials.
To be eligible for a warranty replacement, you must have proof of purchase (order number or email confirming purchase) and be the original owner of the Indoor Garden.
Damage or equipment failure due to normal wear and tear, improper or negligent assembly, maintenance, accident, abuse, improper or abnormal use, and relocation is not covered under the warranty.
Return Policy – Indoor Gardens
If you find yourself unsatisfied with a recent purchase, you have 90 days from the time of delivery to return your purchase. To be eligible for the return of a product other than a Garden, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Perishable goods such as seed pods & nutrients are not eligible for return. Please reach out to our Support Team for any return inquiries.
To complete any return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. All items must be returned in their original packaging. If you do not have original packaging, you will need to purchase it from Rise Gardens.
For returns not related to a warranty claim, customers are responsible for the return shipping cost. The cost of shipping labels and packaging kits provided by Rise Gardens will be deducted from your refund. Any eligible refund will be issued only once the returned item is received by Rise Gardens. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
