Scosche PBJF600 PowerUp 600 Torch Portable Jump Starter-FAQs
Why isn’t my Scosche jump starter charging?
Ensure the charging cable is properly connected to both the jump starter and the power outlet. Also check for any damage to the cable or ports. If it still won’t charge, contact Scosche support.
Why is my jump starter not working?
This could be due to a dead internal battery, poor cable connections, or an issue with your vehicle’s alternator or starter motor. Make sure the device is fully charged and the clamps are securely attached.
How long does it take to charge the Scosche PBJF600?
Charging time can range from a few hours to overnight, depending on how depleted the battery is. Use the built-in LED indicators to monitor charge progress.
Why won’t the jump starter charge my car battery?
The car battery may be too deeply discharged or damaged. Use a multimeter to check its voltage—if it reads significantly below the normal range, it may need replacement.
Why doesn’t my Scosche Bluetooth device turn on?
If your Bluetooth function isn’t powering up, a blown fuse might be the issue. Have the fuse inspected and replaced by a professional if needed.
How do I test if my jump starter is working?
Use a voltmeter to check the output voltage. Connect it to the terminals and activate the jump starter—if it delivers voltage close to its rated output, it’s functional.
Why is the green light not coming on?
Make sure the unit is sufficiently charged and the jumper cables are securely connected to the correct battery terminals. The green light typically indicates readiness to jump start.
Can I replace the battery inside the jump starter?
Yes, if the internal battery no longer holds a charge, you can replace it or the charger. Replacing the battery can extend the life of your jump starter.
What does the red light mean on my jump starter?
The red light indicates that the unit is not yet ready to jump start your car. Wait for it to turn green before attempting to start the engine.
