THEREYE ER-IM03 Countertop Self-Cleaning Nugget Ice Maker-FAQs

How can I make nugget ice without an ice maker?

You can use silicone molds, an egg carton, or crush ice in a plastic bag. As long as you have a freezer, you can create small, chewable ice cubes similar to nugget ice.

How do I clean my countertop ice maker?

Wipe the interior with warm soapy water or a solution of baking soda and water. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reassembling the parts.

How long does it take to make nugget ice?

Most nugget ice makers can produce ice in as little as 6 minutes, with some machines capable of making up to 35 lbs of ice per day.

Can I leave my countertop ice maker on all the time?

Yes, if you want a continuous supply of ice. If turned off, the ice will melt, and the water will return to the reservoir.

Does nugget ice melt faster than regular ice?

Yes, due to its softer and more porous texture, nugget ice melts faster than traditional ice cubes.

What makes nugget ice soft and chewable?

Unlike regular ice, nugget ice is made by compressing flakes of ice with added air, making it softer, chewable, and more absorbent.

How do I prevent nugget ice from sticking together?

Store ice cubes in a paper bag inside the freezer. This helps reduce moisture buildup, preventing them from clumping together.

What type of water should I use in my nugget ice maker?

Distilled water is recommended, as it reduces mineral buildup and extends the life of your ice maker.
