Assembling the monitor

To assemble the monitor

  1. Align the screw hole on the arm with the bundled screw on the base. Then insert the base into the arm.
  2. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled screw.

    This is shortcut 1

    • GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new gamers or beginners interested in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.

To activate GamePlus

  1. Press the GamePlus Button to enter the GamePlus main menu.
  2. Active FPS Counter, Crosshair, Timer, Stopwatch, or Display Alignment.
  3. Move the ASUS TUF VG34VQ3B Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor-7 ( ASUS TUF VG34VQ3B Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor-8 ) button up/down to select and press ASUS TUF VG34VQ3B Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor-7 ( ASUS TUF VG34VQ3B Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor-8 ) to confirm the function needed. Adjusting the monitor

  • For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
  • Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.
  • You can adjust the monitor’s angle from 23° to -5°.

Detaching the arm/stand (for VESA wall mount)

The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for a VESA wall mount.

To detach the arm/stand

  1. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the monitor facedown on its EPS packaging.
  2. Remove the four (4) screws securing the arm to the rear of the monitor.
  3. Detach the stand (arm and base) from the monitor.

  • The VESA wall mount kit ( 100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
  • Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 15 kg (Screw size: M4 x 6 mm).

How to reconfigure

  1. Press the Central of the 5-way to activate the OSD menu.
  2. Press the▼ and ▲ buttons to toggle between options in the
    Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted.
  3. To select the highlighted item on the menu, press the Center key.
  4. Press the ▼ and ▲ buttons to select the desired parameter.
  5. Press the Center key to enter the slide bar and then use the ▼ left or▲ right buttons, according to the indicators on the menu, to make your
    changes.
  6. Press the ◄/► to move the left/right menu.

OSD Function Introduction

Gaming

This function contains seven sub-functions that you can select for your preference.

  • Variable OD: The adjusting range is from level 1 to level 5. The default setting is level 3.
  • Variable Refresh Rate: Allow an Adaptive-Sync supported graphics source to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates for power efficient, virtually stutter-free free and low-latency display update.
    • For supported GPUs, minimum PC system and driver requirements, please contact the manufacturers.
  • ELMB Setup: Check to decrease motion blur and minimize ghosting when on-screen objects are fast-moving. ELMB is disabled if the input V frequency is less than 85 Hz.
  • GamePlus: Activate FPS Counter, Crosshair, Timer, Stopwatch, or Display Alignment function.
  • GameVisual: This function contains nine sub-functions that you can select for your preference.
  • Shadow Boost: Dark color enhancement adjust monitor gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes and objects much easier be found.
  • ASUS DisplayWidget Center: Use the QR code to download the ASUS DisplayWidget Center tool.

Note:

  • In the sRGB Mode, the Saturation and Color Temp are not user-configurable.
  • In the MOBA Mode, the Saturation is not user-configurable.

Image

You can adjust Brightness, Contrast, VividPixel, HDR Setting, ASCR, Aspect Control, and Blue Light Filter from this main function.

  • Brightness: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
  • Contrast: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
  • VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
  • HDR Setting: Set the HDR mode to Gaming HDR, Cinema HDR, or Console HDR. The HDR brightness can be adjusted when the Brightness Adjustable function is enabled.
  • ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio function,ASCR is Disabled when ELMB is on.
  • Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to “16:9”, “Square”, and “21:9”.
  • Blue Light Filter: Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from the LED backlight.

Note:

  • When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported.
  • Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable.
  • Level 4 is an optimized setting. It is in compliance with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.

Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strain:

  • Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 minutes) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.
  • To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest their eyes periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.
  • Eye exercises can help reduce eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues, please consult a physician. Eye exercises:
    1. Repeating look up and down
    2. Slowly roll your eyes
    3. Move your eyes diagonally.
  • High-energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light Filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoid CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

Color

Select the image color you like from this function.

  • Display Color Space: Select color space to sRGB, DCI-P3, and Wide Gamut.
  • Color Temp.: Contains preset color modes (4000K, 5000K, 6500K, 7500K, 8200K, 9300K, 10000K) and User Mode.
  • Saturation: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

Note:

  • In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 ~ 100.

Input Select

Select your desired input source and toggle the Auto Input Detection function between on and off. The monitor input source will not automatically switch when the Auto Input Detection function is disabled.

PIP/PBP Setup

The PIP/PBP Setup allows you to open up sub-window(s) connected from any video source.

  • PIP/PBP Mode: Select PIP, PBP, or turn it off.
  • PIP/PBP Source: Selects the video input source among “DisplayPort-1, DisplayPort-2, HDMI-1, HDMI-2.
  • Color Setting: Set GameVisual mode for each PIP/PBP window.
  • PIP Size: Adjust the PIP size to “Small”, “Middle”, or “Large”.

Note:

  • Disable VRR and HDR functions to enable the PIP/PBP function.

  • Language: Select OSD language. The selections are: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Poland, Czech, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Indonesian, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
  • Sound: Adjust the output volume level or mute the audio.
  • USB Setup: Sets the USB Hub availability during standby.
  • Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
  • Power Key Lock: To disable/enable the power key.
  • Key Lock: Disable all key functions. Pressing the down button for more than five seconds disables the key lock function.
  • Power Setting: Select the power setting mode.
  • OSD Setup: Adjust the OSD Position, OSD Timeout, Transparency, and DDC/CI of the OSD screen.

Troubleshooting

Power LED is not ON

  • Press the power button button to check if the monitor is in the ON mode.
  • Check if the power cord is properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet.
  • Check the Power Indicator function in the main menu OSD. Select “ON” to turn on the power LED.

The power LED lights amber, and there is no screen image

  • Check if the monitor and the computer are in the ON mode.
  • Make sure the signal cable is properly connected to the monitor and the computer.
  • Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the pins are bent.
  • Connect the computer to another available monitor to check if the computer is working properly.

The screen image is too light or too dark

  • Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via OSD.

Screen image bounces or a wave pattern is present in the image

  • Make sure the signal cable is properly connected to the monitor and the computer.
  • Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.

The screen image has color defects (white does not look white)

  • Inspect the signal cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent.
  • Perform a Reset via OSD.
  • Adjust the R/G/B color settings or select the Color Temperature via OSD.

No sound or the sound is low

  • Adjust the volume settings of both your monitor and computer.
  • Make sure the computer sound card driver is properly installed and activated.
